Ciao! If you ask me, why should you go around Chianti with me, my answer would be: “Cause you are going to walk through the vineyards to take cool pictures of the region, cause it won’t be too long, but just enough to get a felling of the stunning rolling hills of Tuscany  – 1 hour or so – and cause we are going to visit family run wineries, making great label, of small production, not available overseas.”

What do you think? My suggestion is to start in the area of San Donato in Poggio, where to go and walk on a simple and beautiful trail through the fields, grapes and poppies fields, according to the season. After about one hour, we’ll end at a nice winery, for a glass of authentic Chianti Classico wine. The visit of the cellars is a must, as well as a sip of the local EVOO – extra virgin olive oil – . Before getting back, let’s explore the secrets of some country villages. For example, friend Mario, is one of the few “guys” who is still making terracotta – pottery – jars and pots with his hands…
